The city of Lyon was not chosen to host the Olympic village of the ice events of 2030. It will settle in the nearby city of Oullins-Pierre-Bénite.
The news was announced by the organizing committee and the local authorities. The commune will complement the three other Olympic villages based in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt (Haute-Savoie), Bozel (Savoie) and Briançon (Hautes-Alpes).
