Jefferson County deputies arrest man for murder during argument in Midfield

Just before 3 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to 8th Avenue in the Fountain Heights area. When they arrived, they found Anthony Derrell Young, 38, suffering from a gunshot wound; he was taken to UAB Hospital where he later died. Reuben Gerard Gillam was charged with murder and no bond has been set in accordance with Aniah's Law.
