Iwi steam helps Kawerau paper mill cut carbon

In a partnership with Ngāti Tūwharetoa Geothermal, Kawerau mill owner Essity and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority are investing $20 million into converting the mill’s paper dryers from natural gas to geothermal heat.
