The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas, which rejected an Israeli proposal for a truce in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, called Friday for international pressure to end the "unjust blockade" of the Palestinian territory.
A coalition of non-governmental organizations warns of a "complete collapse" of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip due to the Israeli-imposed blockade. "Every resident in Gaza depends on humanitarian aid to survive," twelve aid organizations, including Oxfam and Save the Children, said in a joint statement on Thursday.
