Israel's Final Election Results Show No Bloc Has Won a Majority
Netanyahu’s bloc won 53 of 120 seats, leaving coalition talks uncertain and raising the possibility of another election if no majority emerges.
- On Thursday, Israel's Central Election Committee finished counting votes from Tuesday's election, with opposition parties securing 67 seats in the 120-member Knesset compared to 53 for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc.
- Fragmented results mean neither bloc reached the 61-seat threshold required to govern. This outcome sets the stage for difficult coalition negotiations, raising the prospect of another election if talks fail.
- More than 5.7 million people voted, with 25,789 ballots disqualified and 306,679 votes cast for parties failing to cross the threshold. Two Arab-led parties emerged as kingmakers, winning an historic 19 seats.
- Netanyahu accused Arab-Israeli groups of fraud and receiving Qatar funding, while the opposition alleged a "campaign of incitement." The Central Election Committee asked the Shin Bet to investigate alleged "foreign entities."
- Both Netanyahu and Gadi Eisenkot have rejected working with Arab-led parties as potential coalition partners. The opposition accused Netanyahu of demonizing the Arab population to delegitimize the election results.

Netanyahu’s right-wing bloc wins Israeli election but he’s eight seats short of majority
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing bloc won Tuesday’s national election with 53 Knesset seats, ahead of Gadi Eisenkot’s opposition bloc with 48, according to final results published Friday by Israel’s Central Elections Committee.
The Prime Minister’s coalition was once again the most voted force, but it was far from the 61 seats needed to control the Knesset without allies. President Isaac Herzog will receive final scrutiny and will open a round of consultations with the parties to appoint those who will try to gather the necessary support to form a government.
