IslandLink Now Offering Bus Services Connecting to Hullo Sailings
The new routes connect Campbell River, Courtenay and Parksville to Hullo sailings, giving riders a car-free link to downtown Vancouver.
IslandLink Bus Services and Hullo launched car-free travel on October 1, linking Vancouver Island communities to downtown Vancouver. The service connects Campbell River, Courtenay, and Parksville to Hullo's Nanaimo terminal for ferry connections.
Hullo and IslandLink aim to improve regional connectivity, making it easier for residents to reach the Lower Mainland without a vehicle. The partnership addresses long-standing demand for integrated transportation options.
Designed around two key sailings, the schedule features a 9 a.m. departure from Vancouver and an 11 a.m. sailing from Nanaimo. IslandLink bus fares start at $44 one way, bookable online or in person.
"Connecting our bus routes directly to Hullo's terminal creates a smooth, hassle-free link," said Phillip Morgan, CEO of IslandLink. This integrated option provides convenience for Vancouver Island residents and visitors traveling to the Lower Mainland.
Both companies are exploring future expansion to Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, Port Alberni, and Tofino to build a comprehensive transit network. These additions would extend service across the North Island and beyond.
