The appeal was made by Oguljeren Niyazberdiyeva, representative of the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Office, at a session of the Security Council on the threat posed by 'jihadist' terrorism.
The UN today urged the strengthening of the defense strategy against the Islamic State (IS) extremist group due to its "increasing use" of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in encrypted communications, digital platforms, virtual assets and drone attacks.
