- Accompanied by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Momeni visited the Pakistan Monument to receive a guard of honour and attended an Islamabad Police parade where he praised the force's professionalism and distributed performance awards.
- The visit occurs amid heightened regional tensions following recent United States and Iran strikes. Pakistan and Qatar previously mediated a temporary ceasefire, but that agreement has since unravelled.
- Following his stay in Islamabad, Momeni will travel to New Delhi, India, to attend the BRICS Meeting of Ministers for Disaster Management, focusing on disaster risk reduction strategies.
