The Iranian government on Saturday (Aug 3) said that it expected Iran-backed Hezbollah to hit deeper inside Israel and no longer be confined to military targets after Israel killed the Lebanon-based militant group's commander. On Tuesday, an Israeli strike killed Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut. The Lebanese health ministry said that five civilians were also killed in the strike.
