The Houthis claimed on Monday strikes at Riyadh International Airport, a refinery of the oil giant Aramco and several sites in southern Saudi Arabia. Activating for the first time their mutual defence pact, Turkey and Pakistan announce the sending of military forces to Saudi Arabia. For their part, Yemeni government forces launch a counter-offensive on Sana'a.
According to the Houthis military spokesman, military sites and airports in southern Saudi Arabia were also hit by attacks on Monday.
The Yemeni Houthis say they attacked the international airport of the Saudi capital Riyadh, an Aramco refinery, and other locations in the south of the kingdom. Aramco is the national oil company of Saudi Arabia.
