Internet-famous ‘Heated Rivalry’ Canada fleece jacket to go on sale
Accent Aigu and Province of Canada will release the iconic fleece jacket with 10% of proceeds going to charity, following fan petitions and viral demand.
- On Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, Accent Aigu Entertainment announced a deal with Province of Canada to produce the Team Canada fleece jacket worn by Shane Hollander, available soon for pre-order in Canada.
- Fans propelled the campaign by viral memes, knockoffs and fan recreations that increased demand, while an online petition grew from nearly 4,000 to over 6,000 supporters, per Change.org petition founder Farrah Sanjari.
- Producing the fleece in Canada was a priority, and the Toronto-based Province of Canada will produce, distribute, and donate ten per cent of proceeds to an undisclosed charity, with no pricing or release date announced.
- Fans will soon be able to buy the internet-famous fleece, as producers Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady said the release responds to fan requests and promotes inclusivity.
- Sign-Ups on Province of Canada's website will provide updates, and supporters say the fleece could lower barriers for women and LGBTQIA+ fans to engage.
