An international convention of Jehovah's Witnesses is expected to draw 75,000 visitors to the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg from Friday to Sunday. The convention also commemorates the persecution of the religious community by the Nazis.
From Friday, Jehovah's Witnesses will fill the Volksparkstadion with up to 25,000 participants every day. The big event gives the impression that the controversial faith community may be influxing. However, the reality is different: the number of members of the sect in Germany has been stagnating for years.
