Indonesia Adds 204 Military Units as Prabowo Orders Greater War Readiness

The ceremony at the TNI Headquarters' PRIMA Field involved 3,378 personnel from the three branches of the TNI and featured the official inauguration of six new Regional Military Commands and 198 new TNI units.
Two days after the anniversary, President Prabowo convened 800 high-ranking officers from the TNI and the Indonesian National Police at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.
State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi described the gathering as a routine annual consolidation forum where the President provides strategic directives to defense and security leadership, mirroring a briefing held in February.
