Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman told US President Donald Trump on Tuesday that the kingdom wants to join the Abraham Accords but requires “a clear path” to Palestinian statehood before normalizing relations with Israel.
In 2020, Abraham's agreements led to the normalization of relations between the Hebrew state and Arab countries. The Saudi kingdom had so far refused to join this process supported by Donald Trump.
"We want to be part of Abraham's agreements, but we also want to make sure that the road to a two-state solution is clearly set," said Mohammed Ben Salman, who was received at the White House by Donald Trump on Tuesday.
