Hyundai earned the 2026 Best SUV Brand for the second year as its SUVs scored highest in quality, safety, and reliability among 39 brands, U.S. News reported.
- From Fountain Valley, Calif., on Nov. 20, 2025, U.S. News & World Report named Hyundai the '2026 Best SUV Brand,' with Olabisi Boyle saying "Claiming U.S. News & World Report's Best SUV brand is a defining benchmark in this segment."
- Using a 39-brand comparison, editors considered safety, reliability, and space, then averaged scores from 39 U.S. automotive brands across award classes to determine winners.
- Counting electrified models, the brand offers no fewer than 12 SUVs with top-five finishes, and editors highlighted the Palisade, Palisade Hybrid, Tucson, Tucson Hybrid, Santa Fe, Kona, Kona Electric, IONIQ 5 EV and IONIQ 9 EV.
- The award could influence buyers, as U.S. News Best Cars has 73 million visitors and Hyundai's U.S. operations and 850 independent dealers contribute $20.1 billion annually and 190,000 jobs.
