After months of efforts to save him, the story of the humpback whale who became known as Timmy has had an unexpected epilogue. After his body was postmortem examined and removed from a beach on the Danish island of Anholt, his remains will be processed into biodiesel and biomass. Part of the skeleton will be preserved for scientific purposes.
