Hummingbirds staying in Kansas instead of migrating, expert says

With 319 species living in North and South America, 15 are found in the U.S. Only one regularly appears in Kansas: ruby-throated hummingbirds. Some hummingbirds migrate across the Gulf of Mexico and can travel as much as 23 miles in a day.
