Hublot and Jeff Koons Just Dropped a Striking New Watch Inspired by His Big Inflatable Dogs
The Classic Fusion Balloon Dog comes in red, blue and silver, with 200 pieces in each color and a $25,100 price tag.
Hublot and Jeff Koons released the Classic Fusion Balloon Dog watch, a collaboration based on Koons's famous balloon sculptures that reimagine the child's party favor as sleek metallic timepieces.
The Swiss maker has a long history of collaborating with acclaimed visual artists including Takashi Murakami, Sang Bleu, and Richard Orlinski to create unique artistic timepieces.
Priced at $25,100, each color—red, blue, and silver—is limited to 200 pieces. Koons said, "The challenge was to fundamentally reinterpret the architecture of the Classic Fusion through the visual and sculptural language of inflatable forms."
The model's puffed-up dial and metallic sheen feel recognizably "Koons-y" while working entirely on their own accord, proving the audacious pairing produces a cohesive, stylish result.
Hublot's network spans diverse industries, from soccer star Kylian and fashion designer Samuel Ross to BTS idol Jung Kook and new wave legends Depeche Mode, showcasing the brand's expansive creative reach.
The world's most valued living artist, who sent works to the Moon, has just designed luxury watches with sapphires, diamonds, titanium and white gold; he also works on a series of sculptures inspired by porcelain pieces
