On September 13, 1996, Tupac Shakur died in Las Vegas at the age of 25. Six days earlier, the rap superstar had been shot on the open road. Today 30 years ago Tupac Shakur was murdered. His status as a cultural icon is beyond question. But legends and myths about his short life overshadow all too often his radical political attitude.
