The National Institute of Statistics (INE) has published the new index that will be used as a reference for the annual updating of rents, as announced this Friday by the Ministry of Housing. The indicator was foreseen in the state housing law approved last year, which stated that it should be defined “by December 31, 2024′′ and that it would aim to “avoid disproportionate increases in rent of leases”.
