Landslide disrupts Shimla-Kalka rail services, 4 trains cancelled till September 1
A landslide on the Shimla-Kalka heritage railway left a section of track hanging near Bridge No. 57 and forced train cancellations. More than 400 passengers and railway staff were shifted by road as services stay suspended till September 1.

A hill slip damaged the Kalka-Shimla railway track, causing disruptions. Northern Railway evacuated 391 passengers and 40 crew members to Kalka. Four incoming trains were short-terminated as a result of the incident. Over 400 individuals were transported by bus and Tempo Traveller vehicles.
A landslide occurred beneath the tracks on the Kalka-Shimla railway route in Solan district, Himachal Pradesh. Ten trains were cancelled following the incident, while more than 400 passengers aboard the trains were rescued.
