Higher burden: Evaluation of the Owners' Association – Real estate tax significantly increased after reform for majority

The reform of the property tax was called for by the Federal Constitutional Court, but the policy had promised to make it income neutral. However, an evaluation by the Lobby Association of Real Estate Owners suggests that this promise was broken.

Despite political assurances that the new property tax would be revenue-neutral, according to a study by the property owners' association Haus & Grund, around 79 percent of property owners will have to pay more in the future.
