Badenoch on list ‘found at Widdecombe murder suspect’s home’: The Telegraph
More than 100 serving and former MPs were named on the list, and one senior Tory MP said police told her only on Monday.
Police face scrutiny after waiting until Monday to notify more than 100 serving and former MPs that their names appeared on a list seized from terror suspect Joshua Kerry's home.
Joshua Kerry, 28, faces charges for the murder of former Tory minister Widdecombe and a terror plot against Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, with the list discovered during searches of his Rotherham home.
Prosecutors allege Kerry conducted online reconnaissance of "prominent people and institutions" and attempted to gain entry to Farage's house, prompting police to reopen a year-long probe into an alleged firebombing.
Calling the delay "outrageous," a senior Tory MP demanded immediate action to protect public servants, urging lawmakers to strengthen security protocols for those serving in Parliament.
When Parliament returns on Monday, October 12, officials will present comprehensive updates on enhanced security measures for lawmakers, following the notification failures that sparked widespread concern.
