AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On average, home fires claim the lives of 7 people in the U.S. every day. One of the best ways to prevent death or injury from a home fire is to install smoke detectors. On April 5, the American Red Cross volunteers and the Manchaca Fire Rescue will team up to install smoke alarms in the Manchaca community.
