- WESH 2's First Warning Weather team issued an Impact Weather warning from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. as surface moisture drives feels-like temperatures above 108 degrees.
- Regular temperatures will climb into the low to mid 90s through the week, with rain chances remaining below normal at 20 to 30 percent, limiting relief.
- The Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air-conditioned environments and staying hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids.
- By the weekend, the heat wave is expected to persist as high pressure strengthens across the Southeast, creating Moderate to Major Heat Risk across Central Florida.
