Northeast Baltimore grocery store to close in early 2026, CEO says
The Food Depot in the Belair Edison Shopping Center will not renew its lease, which ends Jan. 30, 2026. The change will affect around 80 employees, who were notified of the upcoming closure on Oct. 30. Rick Rodgers, CEO of B Green & Co., the company that owns Food Depot, blamed rising costs and declining SNAP benefits as reasons for closure.
