General Francis Donovan, commander of the Southern Command of the United States, made his third official visit to Ecuador, which included high-level meetings with Defense Minister Gian Carlo Loffredo, and the head of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, Henry Delgado. At the meeting they addressed the issues of cooperation and joint efforts to counter drug trafficking in support of the Coalition of the Americas against Posters (A3C).
