Harvey Launches Purpose-Built Legal Agents
The early-access tools let firms tailor agents to their own data and workflows as Harvey expands use-case coverage across legal practice areas.
On Tuesday, Harvey announced the release of more than 500 case-specific legal AI agents alongside an Agent Builder tool designed to allow customers to customize pre-built agents to meet their needs.
Harvey CEO Winston Weingberg said the legal industry is 'officially in the era of legal agents,' aiming to provide organizations a 'deep bench' of off-the-shelf agents globally.
The agents address specific tasks like analyzing counterparty markups and comparing closing checklists against transaction documents; Harvey said they were built by lawyers and tested for accuracy and relevance.
Chief Product Officer Anique Drumright said, 'Our agents aren't designed by prompt engineers. They're designed by lawyers who've done the work these agents handle,' emphasizing customization through Agent Builder.
Several other legal AI companies, including Legora, Clio, and Leah, have released self-service agentic offerings, while Harvey's platform is trusted by more than 100,000 lawyers across 1,500 organizations.
