The hybrid film will mix live performances and behind-the-scenes footage, and insiders say Universal Pictures Content Group may position it for theaters.
- Filmmaker John Wilson has been documenting Harry Styles' Madison Square Garden residency since August, according to Variety, with Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures, and Styles producing the film.
- Styles is currently in the midst of the largest single-engagement residency ever at Madison Square Garden as part of his "Together, Together" tour, while Wilson is known for his HBO series "How To with John Wilson."
- Sources say the film will blend concert footage with "authentic human stories of everyone involved in the tour," and one concertgoer posted a TikTok photo of themselves being interviewed by Wilson.
- Social media lit up after fans spotted Wilson trailing Styles with a camera in New York, a collaboration that follows Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's recent Elizabeth Holmes project "You Can See Everything."
- Styles' residency ends on October 31 on his Harryween show, though Universal may distribute the film theatrically with no formal confirmation yet; representatives for the singer, Wilson, and the studio declined immediate comment.
