- On Oct 14, Hamas fighters tightened their grip in Gaza after a ceasefire brokered by the US, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey came into force on Friday.
- On Friday, the brokered ceasefire took effect as Hamas recalled 7,000 internal security members to fill the vacuum left by Israeli troop withdrawals.
- In one circulated video, fighters executed accused collaborators, dragging seven men to their knees and shooting them, while medical sources report 19 Dughmush clan members and eight Hamas fighters killed since Saturday.
- Families await news as at least 23 dead hostages remain in Gaza, while Gaza's Civil Defence Service reported 250 bodies recovered since the truce began and Israel Katz, the Israeli Defence Minister, accused Hamas of returning only four of 28 expected bodies.
- Promised aid for 2.2 million people has not materialised, and if violence persists the planned International Stability Force may not assume control, Donald Trump said he gave Hamas temporary approval.

Hamas cracks down on rival clans and militias in Gaza
Hamas has embarked on a campaign against opposing militias and clans in the Gaza Strip since the ceasefire with Israel took effect on October 10. Hamas’s Arrow Unit has conducted public executions and threatened more against those it has deemed collaborators with Israel.
Since the cessation of the fighting on 10 October, Hamas has engaged in a violent takeover of the territory. Its special Sahim unit publicly executes members of rival militias, accused of collaborating with Israel.
