Half a hundred troops among firefighters, Civil Guard, agents and volunteers have been looking since Tuesday for a local Xixona policeman who was missing when he was climbing the Baixa Navy.

The Civil Guard has located, at about 11.15 a.m. on Wednesday, the body of the local police officer of Xixona (Alicante) who disappeared while hiking in the area of Mount Ponoig, in the town of Alicante Polop, and who could have suffered a fall due to a unevenness.
Officers from different security forces are participating this Wednesday in the search for a local police officer from Xixona (Alacantí) who has been missing since he left home this Tuesday to go hiking, probably in the Polop area (Marina Baixa), where his car was found.
