The City of Guelph is receiving $33.4 million in federal funding for upgrades to its wastewater treatment facility, which will allow for more housing development. MP Dominique O’Rourke announced on Tuesday morning that the wastewater treatment centre will be expanded and receive upgrades, enabling the construction of 4,400 housing units across Guelph by 2031.
