A bipartisan bill from Sen. Shannon Grove (R–Bakersfield) to add another safeguard to California’s pretrial mental health diversion program is dead for the year. The Assembly Appropriations Committee held Senate Bill 1373 in committee Thursday, preventing it from reaching the Assembly floor.
