Ukraine Receives 12 Patriot Missiles per Month From US, Zelensky Says
Zelensky said Russia seeks broader concessions and warned that NATO should not grant Moscow security guarantees while Ukraine faces limited US missile supplies.
Throughout 2026, Ukraine received only 12 US-made Patriot missiles per month, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, far below the approximately 150 ballistic missiles Russia launches monthly against the country.
The ongoing war in the Middle East has negatively impacted military support for Ukraine, Zelensky said, though Ukraine provided assistance to partners in Saudi Arabia and the UAE at their request.
Zelensky noted that several issues have converged in relations with Washington, including Starlink and intelligence sharing, while warning the 'diesel deal' opens the door for the Russians to take further similar steps.
Moscow is seeking a broader agreement with NATO and the US, but Zelensky stressed that security guarantee decisions rest with Alliance members and must follow resolution of the war.
President Zelensky warned that Russia could propose an 'economic marriage' to America built on energy deals, cautioning that such an arrangement might not benefit Washington in the long run.
Ukraine receives an average of 12 missile interceptors per month from the United States for Patriot systems, although the U.S.S.A. needs are significantly higher, as stated by Vladimir Zelensky, noting that 35 such missiles were spent by the Ukrainian military for incomplete October alone.
