President Keiko Fujimori announced the measure after serious material damage, and criticized the Minister of Economy for minimizing the effects of the rains.
They have paralyzed traffic, clogged drains, damaged homes, and even caused the evacuation of dozens of families.
Peruvian president Keiko Fujimori said this measure will be decreed to support communities in the south and center of the country, which have suffered severe rainfall in recent days.
Keiko Fujimori toured rain-affected areas in Lima on August 17 and announced that he is assessing to declare the districts with the greatest damage in emergency.
