- The Gorman-Rupp Company announced on Saturday that Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer James C. Kerr will retire after 10 years, with Vice President of Finance Ronald F. Stoops succeeding him effective Oct. 1, 2026.
- Stoops joined Gorman-Rupp in 2020 and has held various financial roles, including Vice President of Finance. He earned a B.S. in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University, Fisher College of Business.
- Kerr joined the company in 2016 and served as CFO since 2017, guiding strategic planning and acquisition capabilities to new levels. He will assist with the transition while serving as a senior advisor until his retirement.
- CEO Scott A. King thanked Kerr for his "hands-on approach, depth of experience, and strategic acumen," which contributed to Gorman-Rupp's success during tremendous growth and profit improvement. Gorman-Rupp designs and manufactures pumps and liquid-handling systems for diverse global industries.
- Management expects Stoops will continue Kerr's work to capitalize on growth opportunities ahead. Gorman-Rupp serves diverse sectors including agriculture, fire protection, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning applications globally.
