Google parent Alphabet rises sharply on Wall Street after numbers

Alphabet rose more than 10 percent, becoming worth around $200 billion more on Wall Street. The market value rose to more than 2 trillion dollars. Software company Microsoft (plus 1.8 percent) was also among the winners after announcing figures.
