Gladiators favourite reveals ‘devastating’ injury forcing him out of BBC show
Matt Morsia tore his bicep tendon during filming of Gladiators series 3; he is among four injured Gladiators but confirmed to return, BBC said.
- On February 7, Legend revealed on the show that he has damaged his bicep tendent, saying 'Unfortunately, I’ve damaged my bicep tendent so I’m going to be out.'
- Filming in the summer of 2025 produced injuries to four Gladiators during series 3, including Legend with a torn bicep tendon and others with shoulder and knee injuries.
- Walking out with his arm in a sling, Legend asked 'Ok first things first, what’s happened to the arm?' and called it 'pretty devastating' before joking 'Devastating for you guys.'
- A BBC spokesperson added that injured Gladiators are following medical advice and that correct protocol was immediately followed, while producers said 'he will be back.'
- Filmed at Utilita Arena in Sheffield, Gladiators airs Saturday evenings at 5.45pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with producers noting injuries are not unusual due to its toughness.
