Gil, Turgeman, Raines propel Revolution to 4-1 victory over Atlanta United
Carles Gil, Dor Turgeman and Brooklyn Raines each had a goal and an assist as New England improved to 8-1-1 at home.
On Saturday night in Foxborough, Mass., the New England Revolution defeated Atlanta United 4-1, extending their winning streak to five consecutive matches.
Gil initiated the scoring in the 11th minute with an assist from Defender Matt Polster, while Turgeman netted his fifth goal in the 36th minute to secure a 2-0 halftime lead.
Eighteen-Year-Old Peyton Miller found the net in the 56th minute for a career-high fourth goal, and Raines scored his first career goal in the 67th minute for a four-goal advantage.
Matt Turner totaled six saves as the Revs improved to 8-1-1 at home, though Miguel Almir scored for Atlanta in the 85th minute to avoid a shutout.
New England visits Montreal on Saturday, while Atlanta travels to face the Philadelphia Union on the same day as both teams continue their regular season schedules.
