According to the findings of the Global Witness organization, the TikTok platform more often shows far-right and nationalist content, including during the campaign before the second round in Poland. Roman Giertych reacted to these reports. He announced a notification to the ABW.
Roman Giertych announced that he would contact the Internal Security Agency with a question about China's influence on online activities that could have had an impact on the presidential campaign in Poland. "A similar scenario occurred in Romania. This indicates one thing," writes the PO MP, citing a Global Witness report, which shows that TikTok displayed more than five times more content supporting Karol Nawrocki than Rafał Trzaskowski.
"We can't leave it like this. Today I will contact the ABW for an immediate answer as to whether this is true."
Civic Coalition MP Roman Giertych announced on social media that he will contact the ABW with an inquiry about the emerging reports of Chinese (or Chinese on behalf of the Russians) interference in the election campaign. "The TikTok platform promoted far-right content five times more often than all others in the campaign," he wrote, citing research presented by "Gazeta Wyborcza."
