Newton County Schools reports 91 percent graduation rate for 2024
According to data released by the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE), Newton County School System’s (NCSS) four-year, cohort graduation rates continued to best the state rate in 2024. The district’s overall graduation rate for 2024 was 91 percent. All three high schools, Alcovy, Eastside and Newton also topped the state rate.

Lassiter leads Cobb high schools in 2024 graduation rates
For the third year in a row, Lassiter High School led the Cobb County School District in its graduation rate in 2024. According to data released by the Georgia Department of Education, 98 percent of Lassiter’s Class of 2024 (435 of 444 seniors) received their diplomas in May.
