The health system in the Gaza Strip faces an increasing risk of collapse, with fuel supplies nearing a halt to 13 community health institutions, threatening surgery, delivery and care services for the wounded and injured, and threatening to exacerbate the humanitarian disaster in the Gaza Strip.

"Cessation of supplies means not only stopping generators; this also means shutting down operating and intensive care units, preventing the use of artificial ventilation devices for the lungs and oxygen systems, seriously threatening the lives of newborns in incubators, dialysis patients, the wounded and the chronically ill", noted the Director General of the Ministry of Health of the Gaza Strip, Mounir al-Bursh.

Munir al-Bursh, Director General of the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, stated that the World Health Organization (WHO) will halt diesel fuel deliveries to more than 20 hospitals and health centers in Gaza starting September 19 due to insufficient funding. Bursh added that the قطع of fuel supplies could affect the operation of generators, as well as operating rooms, intensive care units, ventilators, oxygen systems, and ambulance services.
