Garage fire damages three buildings in McMechen

MCMECHEN, W.Va. (WTRF) -- Crews from three Marshall County departments responded to a large garage fire Sunday evening. The McMechen Volunteer Fire Department says a fiberglass carport caught fire at a home on 7th Street at around 7:30 p.m. No one was injured, but the blaze destroyed the carport and damaged the home and two buildings beside it. The cause is still under investigation. McMechen was assisted in the response by Glen Dale and Benwood.
