Ringleaders of car theft gang who stole more than £2m worth of cars are jailed
The gang used signal boosters to steal 107 high-end cars worth over £2 million across Dorset, Hampshire, and Wiltshire, with multiple members sentenced for conspiracy and possession.
- On Thursday at Southampton Crown Court, George Berry was jailed for 56 months and Benjamin Cross for 64 months after a gang stole more than £2million of cars.
- Using specialist kit, police found that the gang used signal boosters and signal jammers to trick keyless ignition vehicles at night, according to Detective Constable Paul Beasley.
- Police say the thefts targeted 107 high‑end vehicles across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, taken to a chop shop to be stripped for parts.
- Other defendants received sentences including Bradley Paddick jailed for 36 months and suspended terms of 12 months for Rachael Moran and 18 months for Charlotte Traves.
- Authorities say five defendants were sentenced today, with a further seven members to be sentenced on November 21, and Prosecutor Gemma White called it a highly sophisticated organised crime group.
