The match back for the eighth South American Cup finals that took place last night between Independiente de Avellaneda and Universidad de Chile was suspended due to serious incidents between fans of both teams.
Around 2330 hours this Wednesday, Argentine police officers entered the Libertadores Stadium of America, in Buenos Aires, to assist two wounded fans of the University of Chile team who remained motionless. One of them, the most serious, was Gonzalo Alfaro, 33, whom two men from the Independiente de Avellaneda bar allegedly pushed from the edge of the platform out of the stands, one of them armed with a kind of iron.
