Sébastien Lecornu's government presented the 2026 budget on Tuesday 14 October. On the programme: 13 billion euros in additional revenue and 17 billion euros in savings on expenditure.
The government wants to tax vaping products and remove the tax reduction for parents of children in secondary or higher education.
Sébastien Lecornu announced on Tuesday in the Council of Ministers the draft finance law and the draft financing law of the Secu, which foresees a reduction in expenditure of 17 billion euros and an increase in revenue of 14 billion euros, mainly thanks to numerous tax measures.
