Once everyday life, now luxury – in Markkleeberg Frank Werner still braids and repairs baskets and furniture by hand. He is one of the few 272 basket and braidwork designers in Germany. Even at the age of 71, the basketmaker master has joy in his craft. After his father and grandfather, he leads the family business already in third generation.
