France to legalise IVF for lesbians after two-year debate

Summary by Ground News
French parliament passes bioethics bill to give all women under 43 access to IVF. Until now, the technology was restricted to heterosexual couples where one partner was infertile. Single women and lesbian couples often traveled to Spain, Belgium or Denmark to have children. Bill also loosens rules on egg and sperm freezing, previously only allowed for donation purposes.
