After the disentanglement of the bill on the right to die by the Senate, the text will go back to the Assembly, which will have the last word, but at the end of many round trips between the two chambers.
On Wednesday, January 21, senators opposed the creation of any form of aid to die during the debate on the end of life, with the right-wing-dominated Chamber burying this major societal reform, but these bills will return the week of February 16th in the National Assembly Chamber.
An amendment tabled by relatives of Bruno Retailleau has completely rewritten the article on medical assistance in dying, evidencing it from its substance.
