Fourth Person Charged in Connection to Death of Smiths Falls, Ont. Man
Mark Fenton, 42, is accused of helping after the killing as police continue searching a property linked to the case.
On Tuesday, the Ontario Provincial Police charged Mark Fenton, 42, with accessory after the fact to murder in connection with Robbie Thomson's death, marking the fourth person charged in the Smiths Falls homicide case.
Robbie Thomson, who would now be 36, went missing in October 2023; police discovered his remains in November 2025 at a residence on Kelly Jordan Road near Smiths Falls.
Last fall, the OPP charged three others with first-degree murder: Christopher Fenton, 48, and Erin Mackie, 40, from Montague Township, and Joshua Belfiori, 34, from Kingston.
Fenton remains in custody and is expected in court on Wednesday; police have not confirmed whether Mark and Christopher are related.
Officers continue their presence at the Kelly Jordan Road property to gather evidence as the homicide investigation remains active and ongoing.
